The Prince George Cougars have made another addition to their prospect pool.
The Cats have signed forward Townes Kozicky to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Kozicky was the Cougars’ 44th overall selection in this year’s WHL prospect draft.
Cougars Director of Scouting Bob Simmonds describes Kozicky as a tenacious and skilled player who generates offence, and is recognized for his leadership qualities, competitiveness, and strong performance in all three zones of the ice.
Kozicky, a product of Calgary, Alberta, spent last season with the Calgary Bisons U15 AAA Program in the Alberta Elite Hockey League.
As a 14-year-old player in a U15 league, tallied 23 goals and 37 assists in just 34 regular season games.
In nine playoff games, he added eight goals and five assists.
