You may find it unsurprising that we could see back to back weather records broken.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Andre Besson says today we can expect a high of 33 degrees, which has the potential to shatter the 33.9 degree mark set back in 1920.
He also says the hot weather combined with a chance of showers over the weekend does not bode well in terms of forest fires:
“We have a chance of showers in the forecast from Friday onward, and the main concern with those showers is that we can expect some lightning activity as well”
Besson says yesterday saw a high of 32.4 degrees which broke the previous record of 32.2.
