Repeat offenders arrested in stolen vehicle

Two repeat offenders were arrested in a stolen vehicle on Saturday night.

Police say the vehicle was spotted just before 6:00 on Chief Lake Road.

Police say the driver evaded them for “several hours,” and the RCMP helicopter was eventually called in to help, and when the car was found on Tear Drop Forest Service Road the driver tried to escape the police.

It was eventually taken out by a spike belt, then the driver tried to run on foot.
