Conifex is taking four weeks of unscheduled downtime at its lumber production facility in Mackenzie starting on Monday (June 5th).
The move is slated to impact production by 16 million board feet.
The company stated the downtime is due to low water levels forecasted in the Williston Reservoir as well as reduced demand for lumber products and challenging economic conditions.
Normal operations are expected to resume in July.
