Those wanting to take in some local history have the chance to do so this summer.
The Prince George Public Library is offering its downtown walking tours that run every Tuesday and Thursday at 11.
Heritage Project Assistant Deanna Foster says the tour includes background on city hall and the cenotaph.
“From the cenotaph we head down to Ritz Giver Hall the history behind that and how it developed into the Ramada Hotel,” says Foster, “we touch on a lot of places like the first post office in Prince George, along with McInnis Lighting and how it is still a family run business.”
Foster says the tours are free to the public.
She says those wanting to come on a tour can meet at the downtown library branch.
