A telltale sign of summer in Prince George, the Park Drive-In Theatre has announced its opening weekend is just around the corner.
The outdoor movie season starts with a return of the theatre’s double feature model on May 19, 20, and 21, showing the Super Mario Bros Movie, followed by Fast X.
The theatre only showed one movie a night for the prior handful of years.
For the long weekend, the drive-in is operating on Sunday night, not just Friday and Saturday.
Admission will be charged at $25 a vehicle, the gates open at 8:00 and the movies start at 9:30.
They announced that the go-kart track and mini-golf course will also open on May 27, the following weekend.
The theatre sold to new ownership in February, this will be their first year at the helm.
