STORYHIVE greenlights 14-week TV series based in Northern BC

Storyhive, a Telus-sponsored program, has chosen two Prince George-based filmmakers to be a part of their Summer Crew and produce a live TV show all summer long.

Ze Helios and Jeff Gruending have launched Northern BC Narratives, a new show that can be seen on Telus Optik’s channel 9 and live online, covering local events and stories through the summer.

“You cover what the community is doing,” Helios explained. “We find inspiring stories, diverse stories, any stories that inspire the community.”

Helios said every week he and Gruending will be looking for two to three local and regional stories to tell.

They have already completed the first episode of Northern BC Narratives which focused on animal rescue.

This is Helios’ third production with Storyhive. He is also currently in the late stages of producing a documentary on John Brink.

“I want to thank the city, we are coming to bring amazing stories of you to this city,” Helios added, excitedly.

He has asked anyone with ideas for a feature to reach out at [email protected].
