Northern BC’s largest garage sale hitting exhibition park this weekend

The largest garage sale in Northern BC will be setting up shop in the CN Centre Parking Lot on Saturday (April 29).

The bi-annual Junk in the Trunk sale is back with 125 vendors – Terri McClymont, an organizer, said vendors can bring “anything, the kitchen sink, plants, bedding, vehicles, it is unlimited – all I ask is that it is legal.”

“We have been hosting this for almost ten years now,” she said, expecting thousands of people to cycle through the parking lot – especially with sunny weather in the forecast.

There will also be opportunities for people to donate old tires to be recycled, a bike swap, and a place to shred papers and documents by donation.

McClymont suggests people bring cash to the sale.

The event is put on by REAPS (Recycling & Environmental Action Planning Society), and will run from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
