Northern BC Home and Garden show returning after three years away

After a three-year hiatus, the Northern BC Home and Garden Show is returning this weekend.

“One of the greatest things about spring, is we can see the grass and the light is hitting in through our windows in a different angle, and it comes to our attention that perhaps we can use a little updating, rejuvenating, bring some fresh colour to that indoor and outdoor spaces,” said Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Northern BC Executive Officer Terri McConnachie.

She said the Home show sort of marks the official start to Spring in Prince George.

McConnachie said there will be a pair of events at the show hosted by the Makerie, a Create-A-Critter workshop for kids, and a Paint with Nature Afternoon and Tea and Charcuterie event.

She’s also excited about the Crappy Patio Contest.

“Folks get to vote on the crappiest patio in Prince George,” McConnachie explained.

“If you get the most votes from homeshow attendees, the winner will go home with a Traeger bbq, a really spiffy patio set, and a whole bunch of different adornments for their patio.”

McConnachie added it’s also the 65th anniversary of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Northern BC, and they’re grateful for the support.
