Upgrades coming for Pinewood playground

The Pinewood Elementary School playground will be demolished and replaced over the summer, in favour of a more modern structure.

Parents and officials were concerned the old equipment was out-of-date and unsafe… But kids won’t have to wait long to enjoy the new playground.

“That’s one of the reason we get them approved before summer,” explains school trustee Sharel Warrington, “The work takes plae over summer, then the playground is installed and ready to go before September.”

The new structure will cost roughly $40,000, including supple and delivery, site preparation, and installation.
