No injuries at Pickering fire

Damage at a structure fire on Pickering Road Thursday night is believed to be excessive.

Investigators say the cost of the blaze is expected to exceed $400,000, but should know more as they begin their investigation later Friday morning.

Crews responded to the fire at around 6:15 Thursday night.

No one was inside of the structure when it caught fire.

Strike notice issued for Regional District employees

More public employees in the Prince George area could be striking soon. As of noon today (Wednesday), CUPE 1699, representing employees of the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has issued 72-hour strike notice.
