College of New Caledonia hosting open house events across all campuses

The College of New Caledonia is welcoming prospective students to all of their campuses across the North next week.

The College is hosting a series of open house sessions, starting in Fort St. James on Wednesday.

“We can’t wait to welcome community members to all our campuses,” said Shelley
Carter-Rose, CNC’s vice president of student affairs.

“No matter where you are in the application process, attending an open house is a great way to create an initial connection and sense of belonging with the campus and faculty.”

During the sessions, the college will have tours of the campus, interactive course demonstration, and opportunities to meet with instructors.

  • March 1st, Fort St. James campus, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • March 2nd, Burns Lake campus, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • March 2nd, Mackenzie campus, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • March 3rd, Vanderhoof campus, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • March 3rd, Quesnel campus, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • March 4th, Prince George campus, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Nearly a year after making their debut in the sport, Prince George's Special Olympic athletes are competing in bocce in this year's Special Olympics BC Summer Games.  "We started up last year, because we knew we were going to be hosting provincial games here, and we wanted to make sure we had representation from our City," said Special Olympics Prince George Local Coordinator Peter Goudal.
