Property crime continues to be an issue for the PG RCMP.
They are warning the public yet again about a rash of B&E’s, including homes and businesses as well as large increases in vehicle thefts.
In June, the number of Residential thefts went from 8 in 2014 to 19 this year. A 137% increase. While Businesses saw a 64% increase, and vehicle thefts rose by 73%.
Car thieves especially appear to be taking more brazen steps to steal valuables left in plain sight, and are often breaking windows.
The RCMP asks that all suspicious activity be reported, and are asking residents to not confront suspects and call 911.
