PG named BC’s most affordable city

The top three most affordable cities in BC are all in the north.

In a recent survey from Zolo, Prince George ranked first while Fort St. John and Terrace were second and third.

Things like average home price, household income, home price-to-income ratio, and unemployment figures were used as a measuring stick to determine the overall rankings.

In the report, PG has an average home price of $361,000 while the average household income is just over $107,000. The northern capital has an unemployment rate of 6.8% – the exact same mark as Fort St. John, Terrace, Prince Rupert, Dawson Creek, Quesnel, and Williams Lake.

In the Cariboo, Quesnel and Williams Lake placed 12th and 13th, ranking ahead of Courtenay, Campbell River, and Port Alberni.
