On December 5th, Canfor announced they would be cutting back on production in BC for the remainder of 2022.
Today (January 3), Canfor announced its curtailment will be extended for two more weeks.
The curtailments will result in 21 million fewer board feet – in addition to the 150 million board feet announced in December.
The cutbacks are being blamed on “very weak market conditions.”
