Downtown Prince George will be looking extra Canadian on Friday (November 25).
Downtown PG is encouraging people to head out dressed in plaid for some special deals at many participating local shops and restaurants for this year’s annual Plaid Friday.
“Many of our businesses are getting behind the notion of providing specials, or discounts, or fun ways to get you to wear plaid,” said Colleen Van Mook, the Executive Director of Downtown Prince George.
The event will go all day, but she says from 4-6:00 pm there will be extra chances to win some merch and “lovebucks,” which can be spent at downtown businesses.
Other groups in town are getting in the Plaid Friday spirit.
The Prince George Cougars will be hosting Downtown PG at tomorrow’s (November 23rd) home game against the Moose Jaw Warriors to showcase Plaid Friday, and United Way will kick off their fourth annual Tree of Lights Campaign at Wood Innovation Square Friday afternoon.
“It is neat that everyone wants to get behind this Plaid Friday,” Van Mook said.
