There were plenty of mud, sweat but not too many tears at Otway Nordic Ski Centre today.
The first ever Mud Sweat and Tears event saw over 1300 people show up in the rain to compete in the eight km obstacle course.
Participant Derek Orr says there is one way to describe how it went.
“AWESOME! It was great course, well put together, and fairly challenging for sure,” says Orr.
Competitor Logan Shell says there was one part that was pretty tough.
“I’m gonna say the rope climb, because I never climbed a rope before, I just had to wing it and hope I got it.”
Many competitors who completed the course say that the rain helped keep them cool and and added an extra challenge to the day.
