The executive of B-C New Democratic Party voted last night (Wednesday) to disqualify Anjali Appadurai (from the leadership contest).
The ouster comes after a report that she had violated party rules by using outside groups to recruit new members to vote in the leadership race.

The move leaves former Attorney-General David Eby as the only candidate in the contest to succeed John Horgan as leader and premier.
Appadurai has said the party was trying to “control” a situation where she had signed up far more new party members than Eby.
