Retired educator Craig Brennan would be in favour of organizational audit as SD 57 Trustee

Craig Brennan recently retired as an educator after 40 years as a teacher and principal.

Now, he’s running to become a School District 57 Trustee.

He says his run was prompted by three main things: personal experiences, professional experience, and the special advisors report.

“Those three things together, really struck me as there needs to be some change in the school district,”

“Looking at the culture and climate of the school district, I think I have the experience, the vision, and the commitment and the time to be able to work on some of those issues.”

Brennan said he would be in favour of an organizational audit once the new trustee board is formed.

“Really look at where we’re going in many different ways, I mentioned the culture and the climate, but also staff wellness coming out of the pandemic, and with the special advisors’ report, how are people actually coping with these stressors?”

“The thing I believe the most in is looking at trying to shift supports to classrooms, because in schools, classrooms are where the learning happens.”

The School District Elections, along with the Municipal Election, will take place on Saturday, October 15th.
