For ninety minutes, the UNBC Timberwolves women’s soccer team scratched and clawed and carved out another point as they continue their push for a Canada West playoff spot.
The T-Wolves battled to a hard-fought scoreless draw against the Calgary Dinos on Saturday at Masich Place Stadium, minus their leading goal scorer Paige Payne.
Brooke Molby was once again rock solid for UNBC making six saves on 13 attempted Calgary shots.
The Timberwolves collected four out of a possible six points for the second consecutive weekend and improved to 4-5-3 on the season.
UNBC also received some much-needed help on the out-of-town scoreboard as the UBC Okanagan Heat (3-6-2) defeated the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack (5-5-2) 2-1 in Kelowna.

Heading into the final weekend, the Timberwolves find themselves in a tie for the fifth and final playoff spot with the Victoria Vikes. UNBC hosts UBCO and TRU next Friday and Sunday at Masich Place Stadium.
The Wolfpack end their season with a Sunday matinee against the Dinos (6-4-2) while the Vikes play winless Fraser Valley (0-6-5) and Trinity Western (8-1-2).
