What a weekend for UNBC men’s soccer goalkeeper Daniel Zadravec.
A day after being named the Canada West men’s soccer player of the week, the Victoria product has also been named U SPORTS men’s soccer player of the week after shielding the T-Wolves net stopping 20 out of 21 shots this past weekend against the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver.
Zadravec made six saves on seven shots over UBC on Friday in a 2-1 win. The 6-foot-2 third-year business student then defended all 14 shots faced to draw 0-0 with the T-Birds in game two on Saturday.
UNBC is now 6-4-2 on the season, which is third in the Canada West conference.
