Prince George residents will have the opportunity to sit down and have a coffee with Community Policing Officers from Prince George RCMP later this week.
It’s all part of National Coffee with a Cop day on Wednesday.
“This is an opportunity for those who may have questions about policing to sit with a police officer and have an informal conversation. It’s a unique way to meet with the community and get to know people better, outside of the typical situations that often bring law enforcement and community members together. The coffee shops we approached for this first round, The Open Door Café and Zoe’s Java House, were both very enthusiastic about partnering with us. We hope to run these events quarterly, utilizing interested coffee shops and cafes in a variety of locations throughout Prince George,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
Members of the detachment will be at the following locations:
The Open Door Café, 6075 Monterey Road,
9:00 a.m. – 10: 00 a.m.
Zoe’s Java House, 1259 4th Avenue
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
