Livability, accessibility, key issues in Colleen Mahoney’s council campaign

Colleen Mahoney wants to offer a different choice for council in the upcoming municipal election.

Mahoney came to Prince George as a student to study forestry in 1998, and worked in the forest industry for several years.

After an injury, she left the forestry industry to raise a family, and has spent the last six years as a book keeper.

“I wanted to throw my hat in the ring because I wanted to offer a different choice,” Mahoney said.

“I think I’ve got a very broad perspective, and I think that’s kind of required just to be able to look at different problems as they come up, and maybe look at different solutions.”

“The things that are really important to me in Prince George is just livability, I have seen things from multiple perspectives, and I think that I bring that perspective to Council,” Mahoney said.

“In terms of accessibility for everybody involved, like being a mom with a stroller, and having to understand that certain aspects of accessibility make certain parts of the community more accessible to others.”

The municipal election will take place on October 15th.
