The first week in a certification hearing that is pushing for a trial against the RCMP has wrapped up.
A class action lawsuit that is being pushed by over 300 former employees of the RCMP saw lawyers discussing whether or not the courts should hear it.
Valerie Bergey, a Prince George woman who is apart of the suit, says she’s hopeful it will go ahead.
“I’m confident that Mr. Klein, did a very good job on behalf of the plaintiffs, and the class and now time will tell.”
Bergey says there were a lot of emotions during the hearing.
Bergey is claiming she was assaulted multiple times when she worked with the North District RCMP.
