The list of candidates for the 2022 Prince George municipal election is finalized, with near record numbers fighting for the nine seats (one Mayor and eight councillors) in City Hall.
In the Mayoral race, there will be six candidates:
- Adam Hyatt
- Terri McConnachie
- Lisa Mitchell
- Roy Stewart
- Chris Wood
- Simon Yu
Todd Corrigall dropped out of the mayoral race due to health related reasons.
The last time Prince George had six mayoral candidates was in 2011, when Shari Green beat out incumbent Dan Rogers with nearly 7,000 votes.
Competing for the eight spots on city council, there are 20 candidates:

- Karen Muir
- Ron Polillo

- Chris Stern
- Cameron Stolz
- John Zukowski

The campaign period will begin on September 17th and run to the 15th of October, which will be election day. Advanced voting will begin on October 5th.
