Theatre Northwest will be holding a public, evening stage reading tonight at 7:00.
The play, called Renovations for Six, is by Canadian playwright Norm Foster and will be presented by Sandra Clermont.
Dave Leach, one of the actors in the production, says fans can look forward to laughter all night long.
“If you know Norm Foster, he is about comedy,” Leach said, but he adds that there will also be drama, and “heartfelt stuff.”

“You will laugh, and you will appreciate the characters, they are all very colourful people.”
The play is about a new couple in town trying to meet some new local friends deciding to throw a cocktail party with two other couples, both essentially strangers, which does not go according to plan.
Marnie Hamagami, the theatre’s Artistic Producer, says the stage readings started during the pandemic as a way to get actors back on stage with smaller crowds in a more personal environment.
She says that sometimes, if the audience reception of the stage reading is good, the play could end up in the next season’s lineup.
Theatre Northwest will also be holding a stage fighting seminar today and tomorrow morning, and their first play of the season, ‘Becoming Dr. Ruth,’ debuts on September 22nd.
