Soccer – UNBC Timberwolves: 3  vs  UVic Vikes: 0

This weekend the UNBC Timberwolves outscored UVic 7-1.

Michael Henman had 6 goals.

On the women’s side, the Timberwolves lost their season opener 1-0 in a close match with UBCO. You can find more information on that game here.

Hockey

The annual PG Cougars training camp title match will take place tonight at 6:00. The doors will be open and free to the public to get a sneak peak at what the team has to offer this season.

The game will also be a rehearsal for what the team’s new and improved game night fan experience will look like, including lights, video, and PA announcing.

MLB – Toronto Blue Jays: 4  vs  Pittsburgh Pirates: 1

The up and down Jays are trending upwards again with their second straight win over the Pirates, and their fourth straight win as a whole.

The two teams will play once more at 9:00 this morning.

The Tampa Bay Rays won two straight games over the Yankees, bringing the top three teams in the AL East within 6 games of one another. A month ago, New York looked like they couldn’t be caught, sitting 13 games ahead of the pack.
