Susan Scott has announced she will be running for a third term on Prince George City Council.
“When I started this journey,” she noted, “I said that Prince George was at the brink of great things. Two terms in, we have achieved much to be proud of. I believe that there is more to come. I want to help that better future to occur.”
Some achievements she mentioned in her speech to supporters are economic growth and construction, most recently the new Canfor Leisure Pool downtown near City Hall.
She also pointed to collaboration with the provincial and federal governments to address homelessness and mental illness as a high point while on council.
Scott held an official campaign announcement and dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion tonight (Thursday) for an estimated 75 people.
She is the third active city councilor to announce a re-election campaign, alongside Cori Ramsay and Kyle Sampson.
Another councilor Terri McConnachie is running for Mayor in the October 15th Municipal Election.
