Prince George’s newest full day festival will be back for more.
This, according to Parmjeet Manhas, a co-founder of the Prince George Family Bike Festival that ran from 12-11pm Saturday in Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.
“Everyone who came out had a really great time,” he said, despite the poor weather in the early afternoon.
Once the evening bike ride came around, Manhas said “there was about 1000 people at one time in the park. The kids overtook the event.”
One kid will definitely be back for the 2023 event.
“A 10 year old girl, she was all dressed up as a 101 Dalmatian, her bike, her wear. I mean, she is 10, but she said it was the best day of her life, and that’s why we are doing it.”
Before the event, Manhas said “we want to create that community event that the kids look forward to all year long.”
He says the more the community and potential partners are aware of the festival, the bigger it will be – saying next year will be “multiple times bigger.”
