Hockey:
Team Canada has won their exhibition match vs Finland 6-0. Despite the blowout score, shots were even through two periods. Prince George Cougars’ Riley Heidt recorded one assist in the game on the first goal.

The score is encouraging, the discipline was not. Canada gave Finland 8 powerplays in the game, something that cannot continue into the round robin.

Day one of the Native Fastball Championship are in the books, the tournament will continue throughout the day today. The finals in all divisions are set for tomorrow afternoon at 4:00.

MLB: Detroit Tigers: 4, Toronto Blue Jays: 2
Riley Greene led the Tigers to an upset win over the Jays in Toronto with two of Detroit’s four runs. Tampa Bay also lost yesterday, so the Jays hold their two game lead on second place in the AL East
The teams will their third of four games this week today just after noon.
CFL: BC Lions: 32, Saskatchewan Roughriders: 17
The Lions rallied from behind to maintain their hold on second place in the west, only behind the undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Saskatchewan got out to a hot start, leading 10-1 after the first quarter and 17-14 after the first half. After that, the Lions shut it down, blanking the ‘Riders in the back half.
Today, Winnipeg tries to hold their perfect record against the Calgary Stampeders at 4:00.
