Nechako River in Vanderhoof could see overflow

The Nechako River in Vanderhoof could see 17 centimetres of over flow today.

Rio Tinto Alcan is keeping the spillway discharge at 500 m3/s today and flow in Vanderhoof could increase by Monday.

The current water level at the Burrard Avenue Bridge is 5.205 m and could reach 5.375 by Monday.

The District of Vanderhoof is organizing a sand bagging work bee today at the Arena from 2-6 with a BBQ to follow.
