The Cougars’ front office staff is falling into place for the 2022-23 season.

Goaltender Coach Taylor Dakers has been named the new Director of Business with the club on the eve of his 5th season with the team.

“I am extremely honoured and excited to be named the Director of Business for the Prince
George Cougars,” said Dakers. “My family absolutely loves being in Prince George and we are thrilled to be a part of this great city going forward.”

Dakers spent seven years in the WHL split between the Everett Silvertips and the Red Deer Rebels prior to joining the Cougars in 2018 and played with the Kootenay Ice from 2003-2007, during which he was drafted in the 5th round by the San Jose Sharks.

The team also announced a promotion for Kevin Patenaude, from Account Executive to Director of Ticket Sales, and a new Athletic Therapist Mitchell Karapita, who worked with the Spruce Kings last season.
