Efforts to keep door to door mail delivery are being done in Prince George.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers in Prince George is wanting to save both the jobs and the homes that do direct mail delivery.
Local President Tami Brushey says there are 8000 jobs on the chopping block.
“We know that they are having difficulties in some areas getting it going,” says Brushey, “we know that there has been some huge push back from the citizenry and the union as well.”
Brushey says the postal workers union is hearing that it won’t be until 2016 that door to door delivery will end in Prince George.
She says currently they are giving out lawn signs and those wanting one can get in touch with the union.
