It’s coming up on that season again.
The Prince George municipal election will be held on October 15th, but the work behind the scenes is already well underway.
Hopeful candidates for the next wave of city council can now pick up their nomination packages from city hall to begin preparations for a run at office, although the nomination period does not begin until August 30th.
Last election, 13 candidates ran for city council. It is also unclear at this time if Mayor Lynn Hall will run for a third term. In 2018, he won with 91% of the vote.
