New naming rights for Prince George Coliseum open for pitches

The City of Prince George has officially opened the PG Coliseum doors to potential sponsors’ in the building’s naming rights.

“This is a heads up to the community to know we are intending on seeking expressions of interest for potential new naming rights to the Coliseum,” said Director of Recreation & Events Andy Beesley at last night’s (Monday) city council meeting.

Councillor Brian Skakun asked Beesley if the name needs to be local, to which Beesley responded the “policy does not speak to specifically local or not, but it does have to be beneficial to the community.”

The last naming deal the coliseum had was made in 2016 with Rolling Mix Concrete.

That contract expired in 2020.

The Spruce Kings will also have input in the final decision.
