The Prince George Blood Donor Clinic closed its doors for the last time today.
Staff, volunteers, and the public were all on hand to say goodbye to the establishment that has served Prince George admirably for over 17 years.
The move was originally made back in late April, where it was announced that the clinic would be one of three permanent locations in BC ceasing operations.
It is a bittersweet day for many who donate their time and roll up their sleeves at the clinic, and Canadian Blood Services says many factors played into the decision, including the high cost of flying blood to and from Prince George from Vancouver.
