BC Superstore employees avoid strike with new agreement accepted

UFCW Local 247 members working at BC Superstores will not be going on strike.

According to UFCW 247, a new agreement has been accepted by a margin of 58%.

“We recognize this was a difficult decision for many members and I would like to thank all members who participated in the process,” said UFCW Local 247 President Dan Goodman.

“Thousands of members in the province have engaged with their union. We will continue to listen and support our members as we build even greater solidarity among BC’s retail and warehouse workers.”
