A report is coming to Prince George City Council tomorrow (Monday) to declare a property at 2677 Vance Road as a nuisance that requires remedial action.
A powerpoint presentation shows tires strewn across the backyard, a makeshift temporary structure built out of tarp and wood, and piles of debris and building materials covering large portion of the backyard.
The City will be requiring the property owner to clean up the property by removing the shed, discard the building materials, car tires, and any other garbage and debris.
The owner will have until July 29th to have the mess cleaned up, or until June 30th to request that Council reconsider the requirements.
If the requirements aren’t met, the City will go ahead with the cleanup, with all the costs going towards a debt that will be place on the owner.
The report said that this property has been the root of complaints since 2020, and bylaw officers have reached out multiple times since.
It was also noted that multiple RCMP calls for service have been recorded at the property over the past year.
