Cougars Alumni Charity Golf Tournament returning for 2022

The Prince George Cougars Alumni Charity Golf Tournament will be back for it’s 9th year.

The Cougars and Cougars Alumni are partnering with the Spirit of the North Health Foundation to put on the event.

“The money that gets raised for this particular tournament has always gone to cardiac care,” said Chair of the Board for Spirit of the North Darcy Bryant.

“Cardiac care is one of our larger funds that we support, and it always needs a lot of money to support the equipment that’s needed for the hospitals in the North.”

Northland Dodge will be the title sponsor for the event again.

“Spirit of the North has been our chosen sponsor for years, and throughout the whole year we try to partner with them,” said Kyle Bachman, Dealer Principal of Northland Dodge.

“To myself, to our store, healthcare is everything for us. I’ve lived in the North most of my life, that’s the one thing we can keep expanding upon, providing good healthcare for everyone in the North.”

Northland Dodge will also be providing a special prize for the event, a one-year lease on 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

“At the conclusion of the tournament, we’re going to have a special Jeep-shot challenge,” said Cougars Communications Manager Fraser Rodgers.

“Six lucky contestants are going to have a chance, closest to the pin on a par 3, to be determined.”

The tournament will take place at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club on July 8th and 9th.
