After a lengthy discussion, Prince George City Council has decided to deny an RV dealership from setting up shop.
Last night, council rejected a rezoning application from Woody’s RV World that would allow a dealership to be put on 11 acres of the old Yellowhead Golf Course.
However, many residents in the area, like James Weberg, were unhappy with the dealership coming into the area on the west end of the city.
“When they are going to rezone something highway commercial, it would imply that it would be accessed off of the highway not off a residential street,” says Weberg, “I would consider that a farce in the application to begin with, you can’t zone something highway commercial if you have no highway access.”
Weberg and other residents voiced concerns of light pollution, the road being too small and safety being key issues with the RV dealership moving in.
