Vanderhoof man identified as worker killed in accident

A Vanderhoof man has been identified as the worker killed in a weekend accident on a forest service road near Prince George.

43 year old Dave Bidal was driving a flat-bed truck and trailer carrying logging equipment on Fort George Canyon Road on Saturday morning.

The road was blocked by some fallen trees and during attempts to move the trees off the road one of them struck Bidal.

He was sent hospital in Prince George where he died from the injuries.

WorkSafe BC, the coroner service and RCMP continue to investigate the incident.
