The Canadian Cancer Society has reached the half million dollar mark when it comes to Relay for Life fundraising.
Team Lead Helen Owen says they are still getting donations coming in.
“At the event, we announced $468,233,” says Owen, “so we’ve seen a significant amount of money come in post event.”
Owen says people can make donations to the Relay for Life P-G until the end of August.

She says this year’s goal is set at $550,000.
