Prince George-shot film getting the red carpet treatment

A locally shot movie will be making it’s way to the big screen.

‘The Way to the Heart’ will have a red carpet screening at the Civic Centre next month.

“We’re super excited to be finally releasing ‘The Way to the Heart’,” said Barker Street Cinema’s Norm Coyne.

“The great thing about this is that there are no limits this time. For the screening of ‘A Great North Christmas’ we couldn’t get everyone in. I had to turn away a hundred people at least.”

The proceeds from the tickets will be going to the help Ukrainian refugees through the United Nations Refugee Agency.

The screening will take place on April 8th, the day before the film is released on Super Channel.

“As far as events go, there’s not many opportunities where you get to really get dressed up, and walk the red carpet, and have your photos taken and have champagne, and point to a significant accomplishment in Prince George and Northern BC,” Coyne said.
