The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, along with Northern Health have issued a Dust Advisory for Prince George.
The advisory was issued because of high concentrations of coarse particulate matter that are expected to persist until there is precipitation, dust suppression, or a change in traffic patterns.
To reduce personal health risk, Northern Health recommends:
- Avoid roads with heavy vehicle traffic and areas with wood smoke.
- Use common sense regarding outdoor activity.
- Maintaining good overall health
- Run an air cleaner
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
