The May long weekends weather forecast is looking very promising for those who love the sunshine.
Hot and dry conditions could potentially be seen for the two weeks according to Environment Canadas Matt MacDonald:
“So normals for this time of year are around the 18 degree mark as a high, and we are going to be reaching highs of 22 or 23 and as we get into next week all the way up to 25 degrees”
MacDonald says this is not good news for local firefighting efforts. However, he mentioned that the winds have died down slightly.
He also reminds everyone to wear adequate sun protection, as the UV index will be ramping up to around 5 between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm.
