Prince George is hosting the 2022 BC Summer Games, and they’re looking for a range of volunteers.
3,000 volunteer spots are open for the July 21st-24th event.
“We will be there to welcome home our own BC Games alumni. As we are coming together as sport lovers, it is a great opportunity to highlight these opportunities so we can grow our next generation of Olympians,” said President Renee McCloskey.
“We need the community to come together and show our spirit. There are many areas of interest and a need for various skill sets. More information is available, and registration is open on the website,” said Tracey James, Director of Participant and Volunteer Services.
Volunteer positions can range from photography to driving.
“Working with the volunteers, we have food services, working in the ceremonies and special events, we have people who will be giving medals, who will be working even with boats, and going in and helping out in certain sports venues.”
People can apply on the BC Summer Games website, but they must be 14 years of age or older, fully vaccinated, and must complete a Police Information Check.
