PG’s 11th fire chief takes the helm

It’s official, Cliff Warner’s reign as fire chief has begun.

John Iverson retired on January 21st after 35 years of service including the last eight as chief.

Warner was announced as the new leader of Firehall #1 back in November and became the city’s 11th fire chief since it became a full-time position in the 1950s’.

In addition, two new deputy chiefs have been selected.

They are Captain Brian Burleigh and Clayton Sheen.

Burleigh most recently spent time as the training branch captain while Sheen was the manager of the emergency programs.
