Connective getting ready to manage PG’s 50 new supportive homes

50 permanent modular homes are being developed on the 800 block of 1st avenue in Prince George, and BC Housing has chosen the organization that will manage them.

Connective will be working alongside the community to bring programming, support, and health services to the homes when they open up this Spring.

“We’ve got a lot of experience in delivering housing supports in BC and the Yukon. We offer supports to individuals who require 24 hour living assistance, right through to occasional supports to people who live in their own independent suites,” said Liz Vick, Vice President of Strategy at Connective.

“When we recognize that we might be serving a population that has a high representation of Indigenous people, we want to make sure that our services are culturally sensitive and appropriate. That’s certainly something we’re going to be bringing to this program in Prince George.”

Vick said they will also have openings for people to work with the housing residents.
