Prince George’s Relay for Life has brought in a massive sum.
Our Kev Cotter was on the scene immediately to give the numbers:
“$468,233 raised by Prince George at this years Relay for life, of course that number can only go up over the next few weeks”
Meanwhile, Team Lead Helen Owen spoke about an inspiring story that surfaced Saturday night:
“This is such an inspring event, and the story that I told at the end of the Relay of a young fellow going through cancer treatment coming to attend his first relay, his family is here supporting him, and he ends up in hospital here. How fitting that he was discharged from hospital this morning and able to attend”
Prince George came out in droves for the event, which featured live music, vendors, costume contests, lumineers and weather that could only be described as perfect.
