School District 57 Trustee by-election is today

Today is the general voting day for the School District 57 trustee by-election.

Two Trustee spots are up for grabs, one in Prince George and one in Mackenzie.

In Prince George, voting can be done between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm at:

  • Glenview Elementary School, 7310 Cliff Road
  • Heritage Elementary School, 257 Anderson Street
  • Malaspina Elementary School, 7900 Malaspina Boulevard
  • Pineview Elementary School, 8515 Old Cariboo Highway
  • Van Bien Training Centre, 311 Wilson Crescent

For the Prince George Trustee position, the candidates are:

To vote in the by-election, electors must be:

  • 18 years of age or older on general voting day
  • Canadian citizen
  • resident of British Columbia for at at least six months immediately before the day of registration
  • resident of, or registered owner of real property, within the voting jurisdiction for at least thirty days immediately before the day of registration
  • not disqualified by the School Act or any other enactment from voting in an election or otherwise disqualified by law

In addition, two pieces of identification are required, including one with a signature.
